- Anonymous Account Data: Reteni uses silent anonymous authentication. We do not collect or store your name, email address, password, or profile information.
- Local Study Data: Your generated flashcards, category archives, and study statistics are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Subscription Status: We check your subscription entitlement status anonymously via third-party services (RevenueCat). We do not collect your billing details, credit card numbers, or transaction history.

We use collected data for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve Reteni and our services.
- To process your subscription and handle billing.
- To generate and deliver content according to your requests.

- On-Device Retention: Your flashcards and study history are stored locally on your device. They remain on your device indefinitely unless you clear your app data in Settings or delete the application.
- AI Input Processing: The photos you scan to generate flashcards are processed in real-time by the AI service (Firebase Vertex AI) and are not stored permanently by us.
6 Third-Party Services
Reteni uses third-party services for specific functions:
- Payment Processing: All purchases and subscription renewals are processed securely by Apple In-App Purchases (on iOS) or Google Play Billing (on Android) via RevenueCat. We do not use third-party credit card processors like Stripe in our mobile application.
- AI Services: We utilize Google Gemini (Firebase Vertex AI) to process scanned study materials and generate flashcards.
All third-party providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and only access data necessary to provide their services.
7 Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.

8 Children's Privacy
Reteni is designed for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
